Prepress Technician

L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Prepress Technician with our client based in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Duties:

Review texts, graphics, and layout for printed materials prior to their production
Be a hands-on participant in offset platemaking and digital printing
Multitask between running equipment and computer graphics
Utilize high end plotting equipment

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with prepress work in a fast-pace printing environment
Knowledge of large format/wide format plotter equipment
Experience with impositions/platemaking
Knowledge of Enfocus or similar imposition software
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); Quark Xpress
Ability to work independently with minor supervision
