Description & Qualifications Description
The Principal Contract Negotiator drafts, negotiates and supports all contract-related management support for prospective and existing customer agreements. This role will provide vital legal, commercial, and operational support to our Sales, Services, Cloud and Sales Operations teams mainly during complex customer negotiations with a focus on driving and closing U.S. Public sector deals, including Federal, State and Local transactions. This role requires an organized and articulate individual who has a strong attention to detail, is able to set and meet deadlines, and is flexible with regard to work hours. The Principal Contract Negotiator will have an opportunity to influence and participate in the growth of the business.
Responsibilities
This person is responsible for negotiating, drafting changes, reviewing, advising and structuring agreements that establish business relationships with Public Sector customers and/or partners resellers
Working with other contract negotiators and attorneys to maintain compliance with company policies, applicable laws and regulations, and other established guidelines and requirements, in support of sales transactions
This person is flexible to work on ad hoc projects and other responsibilities within the legal department
Supporting maintenance of FedRamp certification, addressing customer inquiries regarding UKGs certification and processes
Resolving customer and sales team questions to achieve customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum 12 years prior experience negotiating terms and conditions, drafting contractual provisions, preparing contracts for review and ensuring compliance with company policy as well as applicable laws/regulations
Good understanding of contract and experience negotiating and drafting software, Software as a Service (SaaS), or services contracts is preferred
Ability to make confident, supportable decisions in time sensitive situations and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
Ability to work in an independent yet collaborative environment
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a high-growth, changing workplace
Communicate and work well in a team environment and with existing clients including excellent verbal and written communications.
Strong drafting skills, with strong experience in MS Word and other digital tools
Bachelors Degree or higher with a concentration in law, legal studies, paralegal studies, is preferred
Pay Transparency for Colorado, New York, Washington and California The pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, Washington and California is $109,000 to $156,700, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area, the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 to $156,700 per year.
