Process Worker
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role,Process Worker, are to:
Responsible for the operation of research equipment to process seed, tissue and plant material, note-taking, data management with internal IT systems to comply with regulated seed stewardship standards;
Adhere to Bayer'sHealth, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards and complete and/or participate in safety inspections/training and comply with all policies and standard operating procedures;
Operate equipment, which may include but is not limited forklifts, seed cleaners, threshers, seed dryers, tissue freeze dryers, cotton delinting equipment; and setting up production equipment and monitoring equipment operation;
Perform pre-operation activities including, equipment calibration, inspections, testing or/and preparation of process required materials to comply with quality and process standards;
Enters system conditions and batch details in the QMS logs as mentioned in the work instruction;
Handling of all equipment cleanouts and adhere to maintain good housekeeping practices for all assigned areas;
Stage, receive and process all inbound seed and tissue materials according to priorities and delivery expectations;
Work to fulfill due dates as scheduled for the delivery of the materials processed;
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections by troubleshooting problems associated with seed processing equipment, processes, and systems as needed;
Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government (e.g. LOTO, Work Permits, etc.);
Use and maintain in good conditions the personal protection equipment according to Safety Program;
Report issues that may affect quality of products to supervisors;
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED;
Basic knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or facilities with systems;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to balance and prioritize tasks;
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively (written and oral);
Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
Ability to work: days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtimeas business needs;
Ability to obtain Explosive License as required by the PR Police Department;
Ability to operate machinery and agriculture equipment (ex. Forklift);
Valid drivers' license (in order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's risk screening for hiring drivers;
Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
