Procurement Officer

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to support our company's procurement process and activities. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing potential bidders, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement activities. This role requires good negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier selection processes.
Identify potential suppliers, bidders, through report evaluations, among other related tasks.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, projects, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.
· Work with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, an updated list of current and incoming vendors, records of potential bidders for the development of construction projects, among other related tasks.
Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
Goal-oriented, organized team player.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in procurement roles.
Strong negotiation and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
