JOB SUMMARY The Supervisor, Production Maintenance is responsible for electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment and tooling. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining plans for corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance of production machinery and equipment. Supervision of workers engaged in equipment maintenance, electrical and mechanical operations including outside vendors.

SCHEDULE: 1st shift (M-F) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures the safe condition and proper maintenance of all equipment within the Manufacturing area.Establishes and maintains an effective plan for corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance of production machinery and equipment.Develops and maintains labor routers.Develops and maintains the fundamental standards utilized by the production capacity plan.Ensures inventories of maintenance materials, supplies and replacement parts are maintained at proper levels by initiating requisitions for purchases consistent with budgetary constraints.Originates requests and provides detailed specifications on all maintenance materials and parts required for production machinery and equipment.In conjunction with other departments, reviews proposed new products from manufacturing method/assembly and cost perspectives. Provides financial analysis of labor content and equipment considerations, when required. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS A 4-year college degree in a specialized or technical field, such as Manufacturing Technology or a related discipline; or its equivalent in training and experience is required.5 to 6 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.Considerable supervisory skills are essential in successfully planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position.
