Job Description:
To ensure that services are meeting the needs of New Yorkers, the client's Digital Service is requesting a Program Manager to manage workstreams for public-facing projects, as well as other agencies and departments. Projects will include redesign along with as-needed workstream management, and similar work.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The Program Manager will work with the Digital Service team to organize, plan, and track workstreams to deliver redesign and other projects as needed. The project manager will be involved in stakeholder and working team meetings. All on-going work and deliverables will be reviewed together with the Digital Service Design team.
TASKS: Manage workstreams for build of nyc.gov core to delivery high quality digital experiences on time. Establish, track project deliverables and help mitigate obstacles in executing a work plan for project activities, sprints or phases. Lead and manage sprint planning and task management. Monitor project activities, document agreements, communicate to project stakeholders, and escalate issues on a timely basis. Establish deadlines and monitor the progress of the project, following up with relevant stakeholders. Facilitate meetings with teams and stakeholders with clear, prioritized agendas and provide timely recaps and drive resolution of next steps MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE;
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered Minimum of 8 years of experience managing web projects Demonstrated experience helping drive websites and web features to launch, with attention to detail and quality user experiences. Deep knowledge of agile project management practices, with experience leading sprints in a large organization and proactive planning. Experience pairing with other disciples to launch digital tools and services. Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate and work with leadership, experts and decision makers, cross-functionally and across teams, coaching teams to drive outcomes. Knowledge of agile ways of working and modern software development practices. Experience setting up project management processes for cross functional teams that have various ways of working
