**Summary**
This position reports to the Director of Program Management R&D, and is responsible for program definition, leadership and communication for the product development and life-cycle management across electromechanical portfolio in the Medication Delivery Global Business.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Provide business and technical leadership for a major, high-complexity portfolio within the Medication Delivery (MD) Business. The MD business is a core growth area providing infusion pumps, intravenous drugs, and administration and pharmacy preparation devices with over $2B sales annually.
* Lead cross functional teams in all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure for product development and life-cycle management of electromechanical devices. Lead teams in timely resolution of complex problems, including development of technical solutions, project plans, resourcing plans and budgets.
* Provide leadership within the MD business and manage stakeholder expectations with regard to deliverables during the program.
* Comfortable influencing and communicating with senior leaders inside and outside the business unit.
* Work within the guidelines of project management, standard performance metrics, and regulatory guidelines to apply best practice Project Management skills, methodologies and standards (such as PMBOK).
* Establish, track and communicate project risks.
* Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, from initiation through close, which may include capital expenditures, functional expenses, and program positioning.
**Qualifications:**
* Minimum: Bachelors degree or equivalent in related discipline plus 8 years of product development and life cycle experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise wide programs in the medical products industry.
* Scientific or engineering degree preferred. Masters degree or equivalent in related discipline desired.
* Previous experience with electromechanical devices desired.
* 5 years of project management experience required.
* Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, experienced in analyzing complex problems and in driving high performing teams, strong leadership and financial acumen skills.
