Principal Responsibilities:

The Young JewishColumbus Manager (YJC) develops, implements, and monitors strategies and trends to inspire young Jewish adults (20s40s) on a pathway from initial engagement to deeper involvement with the Jewish community, leadership development and philanthropy. The Jewish community in Columbus is projected to grow rapidly in the coming years, and it is critical that this person can identify, cultivate, and engage with new members of the young adult community in a meaningful way. This position is responsible for the oversight and management of all activities, events, and data for the young adult demographic, and together with lay leadership, will drive the strategic planning process for YJCs next phase of growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Young JewishColumbus Manager is responsible for the direction, planning, implementation, and strategy for the young adult program at JewishColumbus. Collaborating with the YJC Board, they will oversee the day-to-day and long-range strategies for under-40 individuals and young families related to philanthropy, programming, and engagement efforts.

Direction & Strategy Develop and implement strategies that guide young adults and families on a pathway from initial engagement to deeper involvement with JewishColumbus and the Jewish community Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, participants, and lay leaders Monitor, evaluate and adapt YJC efforts with changing trends and interests Design and implement strong goals and progress metrics for YJC and Young Family programming and engagement Set and meet engagement goals and fundraising department metrics in collaboration with the fundraising team and the YJC board Engagement and Lay Leadership Provide support, training, and mentorship to the lay leaders serving on the YJC board and YJC committees Build relationships with Jewish young adults, young families, and other key stakeholders Manage YJC-related recruitment and cultivation for YJC and JewishColumbus events Work in coordination with other JewishColumbus staff and Partner agencies to coordinate cross-functional programs and initiatives Collaborate with the YJC Board and lay leadership to manage committees and drive results Manage social media and digital outreach for young professionals and young families Liaise between agencies, Young JewishColumbus, and PJ Library for joint programming Market and publicize events through local community news outlets Philanthropy and Financial Resource Development Collaborate with JewishColumbus colleagues on strategies for financial resource development of YJC Secure sponsorships for YJC-related events and initiatives Secure gifts from a portfolio of YJC demographic donors and stakeholders Educate the under-40 community about philanthropy and planned giving options Fund raiser for the under-40 annual campaign COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as primary staff contact for the Young JewishColumbus chair, board members, and committees: YJC Executive Board Social Committee Financial Resource Development Committee Young Families Committee Community Service Committee Engagement Committee QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years of professional experience in areas including programming, development, and volunteer engagement Professional Skills Familiarity with the workings of the Jewish community and its culture, practices, and norms required Understanding of the diverse experiences of people in their 20s-40s, including stages of education, career, and family life Strong background in event programming and digital communication required Experience with financial resource development, philanthropy and gift solicitation preferred Experience working with stakeholder groups, including a board of community volunteers preferred Communication and Digital Skills Excellent oral and written communication required Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams required Experience with digital graphic design and Constant Contact preferred Personal Skills Capable of building trust and working in partnership with staff and lay leadership Entrepreneurial spirit with a take charge, self-starting attitude Exhibits customer service-focused behavior and possesses integrity for maintaining confidential information Ability to engage and work with people from diverse backgrounds Strong organizational skills, effective multi-tasker, and adept at meeting deadlines SCHEDULE & WORKSTYLE: JewishColumbus offers a hybrid work schedule with three days a week in the office and the option of two remote days each week The position requires work outside typical business hours of 9-5, Monday-Friday, owing to the need to schedule meetings, programs, and events around the schedules of working professionals in this demographic This job is located in Columbus, Ohio SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $53,500-$65,000. JewishColumbus offers many holidays off, including major Jewish holidays and national holidays. JewishColumbus offers a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, FSA), a defined contribution retirement plan, generous vacation policy, paid federal and Jewish holidays, life insurance, generous parental leave policies and hybrid work practices. Additionally, we offer voluntary learning programs throughout the year in subjects of interest to our staff. Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000
