Overview Of the Role:
One of the cornerstones of AgeOptions are the evidence-based health promotion and falls prevention programs providing outreach and education to people across Illinois. Through the IL Pathways initiative people are connected to programs designed to better their health and well being. Some of these important programs to health and wellbeing include: Take Charge of Your Health/Diabetes; A Matter of Balance, Cancer Thriving and Surviving, Tai Chi for Arthritis, and Bingocize. The Health Promotion Program Specialist is a highly visible role at AgeOptions in a continually growing program and key highlights of the role are:
Facilitating Evidence-based programs (virtually and in-person) and maintaining Master Trainer certifications where needed Conducting outreach and education for the programs Facilitating leader/coach trainings and providing technical assistance to program facilitators, partners and participants Some of the specifics: Project lead our evidence based programs, including development and recruitment of program partners and facilitators, implementation of program workshops, facilitation of programs and follow up and analysis of program effectiveness. Cultivate community leader relationships to create host site partnerships Support community partners through the workshop process and logistics Provide outreach and education in the community Experience and Skills Who are we Looking for Someone with: At least 2 years of professional work experience with an emphasis in Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Health Sciences, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Training or related areas. A high level of knowledge and interest in helping others to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevention. At least 1 year of previous training and/or facilitation experience Strong, demonstrated project management skills and experience Bi-Lingual strongly desired Accountable, Self-starter with a passion for our Mission, Vision and Values Workshops are generally held during the week, but occasionally will need flexibility to conduct and attend events outside of normal business hours and on weekends. Must be willing and able to travel within the greater Chicagoland area (primarily suburban cook county) regularly

Job Benefits
The starting salary range for this role is $38,000-$48,000 annually; based upon an individuals experience, education and certifications.
In addition to your annual salary AgeOptions makes a 5% contribution to your 403(b) whether your contribute or not!!
This is a full time role and includes ability to participate in our medical, dental and vision plans
We work in a hybrid environment and this role will have responsibilities in the office and in the field as well as the ability to work remotely regularly.
