Mark Cuban Backed Company Seeking Purchasing Manager (full-time, remote) A fun and exciting San Francisco based company making innovative healthy home & bathroom products seeks a full-time Purchasing Manager to join our growing team.

Privately held and backed by internet pioneers Mark Cuban and Dave Samuel, Brondell is a well-established manufacturing company that is growing fast. Our products are carried by many leading retailers, including Amazon, Costco, Home Depot, and Lowes and our products have won numerous awards over the years. We are an industry leader in our current category niche (electronic bidet toilet seats and bidet attachments) and are continuing with our expansion into new healthy home product categories such as water filtration and air purification for the home. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: We seek a passionate, organized, and strategic Purchasing Manager, motivated, self-starter and a team player who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment; confident and willing to step up to the plate at any given time. In addition to excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, the right candidate will have the ability to acquire high technical acumen as well as software and tools quickly. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with VP of Operations to develop and execute effective purchasing strategies that match the current business environments (300+ SKUs, 12 suppliers (outside of USA), multiple warehouses in the US and Canada and Big Box retail customers).Identify, drive, and track key functional metrics that align with key corporate and functional strategic goals.Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained by marrying historic consumption rates, planned promotions, channel and market trends in coordination with revenue forecasts.Utilize existing standard operating procedures and make improvements to those SOPs as processes and needs change, keeping SOP documentation current.Work with VP of Operations to transition inventory planning activities to new software provider.Assess, manage and mitigate risks of over- or under-stocking inventory items.Perform cost and scenario analysis and find new solutions to the purchasing procedures to reduce expenses and/or improve profitability.Assist with logistics of inbound freight from overseas, coordinating with suppliers and freight forwarders.Function as main liaison/point of contact for vendors/suppliers.Prepare and manage departmental budget for purchasing department.Prepare monthly departmental update.Support core values: CARE for our customers, CARE for our products and CARE for our employees.Adhere to Brondell's Safety Protocols.All other duties as assigned by the manager.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business, supply management or related field preferred.5 years' experience managing purchasing and inventory functions.Proven record of successfully stocking inventory for retail programs; understanding stock level needs is a must have.Knowledge of inventory control techniques, forecasting, cost/price analysis.Experience in retail industry preferred.Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.Experience building and managing SOPs.Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders at the same time.Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and problem- and process-solving skills.Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and leading cross-functional meetings successfully with proven record of accomplishing corporate objectives within set timelines.Desire to succeed, tempered by maturity and a good sense of humor.OTHER THINGS TO KNOW: This is a hybrid/remote position with occasional office visits. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, but are occasionally flexible if/when you have the need. Likewise, when things are super busy, pitching in extra with everyone else is expected.

Compensation is based on skills/experience with a salary range between $80,000.00 and $110,000.00 per year.
