The Technical Support of the Quality Assurance Team will be responsible for creating certifications for customer orders produced in Clinton and Spring Grove. Balancing a combination of being detail oriented and flexible, this individual will need to collaborate with all levels of the organization to support the timely creation of Scot Forge certifications. Secondary responsibilities will include updating MasterControl training records and development of skills needed to help support certification review activities. The Quality Assurance - Technical Support role must be able to work with the highest level of integrity, accuracy and efficiency to protect the quality reputation of Scot Forge.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Create certifications accurately and efficiently per shop order requirements Transcribe relevant information from the Shop Order/Reflections/JDE into certifications. Perform a quality check on Shop Order to assure all operations have been completed Navigate, read, and interpret specifications as they apply to the appropriate industry Support production by accurate and timely review of certifications Meet quality and productivity targets established by the department supervisor Support customer audits and customer witnesses and their review of Scot Forge Quality System processes Establish, implement, and maintain procedures and best practices that lead to error-free certifications Maintain knowledge of process through training, perform scheduled observations, and provide quality feedback Update training records and certifications in MasterControl Closing Statement: Other duties as assigned Shift and plant location may change based on production needs Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Minimum 3 years' experience in an order entry or administrative role Proficient in typing and highly accurate in transcribing information Proficient in use of the MS Office Suite of Applications Required technical communication skills, both verbal and written Preferred ability to read and interpret complex and overlapping industrial specifications Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Position requires a mix of working in office and occasionally working in production areas while forklifts, overhead cranes and related equipment are in use. On occasion while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to heat and cold weather conditions as well as wet and/or humid conditions. When in the area of production, appropriate PPE is mandatory.
