Quality Control Lead

TekPro, a direct hire recruiting agency specializing in the manufacturing sector, is assisting a client in their search for a Quality Control Lead. This role will focus on developing and implementing standards, processes, and procedures for electro-mechanical equipment with automation and controls. The successful candidate will ensure all products meet required quality standards and customer expectations. This position is designed to transition into a managerial role, with the selected individual eventually establishing and leading a new Quality Control department within the company.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all areas of the Quality Control (QC) process, including inspection and testing, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and managing necessary documentation.Develop and implement a comprehensive QC strategy and framework, with the goal of building a new QC department.Train and supervise Quality Control staff, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge needed to effectively perform their duties. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. An advanced degree or certifications in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus.Three to five years of experience in Quality Control, particularly with electro-mechanical equipment, automation, and controls. Strong knowledge of Quality Control methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and advanced analytical capabilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Reliable transportation and availability to work the required schedule.
