Quoting Specialist

Description Summary:Taylor Entrance Systems Quoting Specialist is responsible for the day to day quoting of incoming jobs and proposals. The Quoting Specialist will work with the Customers to understand their product needs. It is the responsibility of the Quoting Specialist to maintain positive relations with all internal levels of the organization as well as the customers.

Duties to include, (but not limited to): Help, Develop and maintain quality Customer Service standards. Develop and maintain quoting and order entry processes. Utilize the standard cost system to develop cost estimates for each part. Assist in daily order entry. Work with Customers to identify quality issues/concerns Collaborate with manufacturing to analyze manufacturing feasibilities Collaborate with manufacturing to determine appropriate tooling, process, and routings for each part. Assist in the auditing of BOM's. Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) AutoCAD not required but a plus. Quoting Specialist and Engineering Support Demonstrates: Ability to work independently while portraying excellent team work mentality Problem solving and innovative solutions to improve customer relations Dynamic self-motivation and ability to work in high pressure situations The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Ability to maintain positive moral within the office Education / Experience: Preferably an AS/BS degree Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quoting is preferred. Working Demands / Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up 50 - 75 pounds Reports to: Plant Manager
