Job Overview This position is responsible for the coordination of clinical and educational activities of the Radiation Oncology Residency Programs. These activities include: scheduling of clinical rotations and teaching conferences, working with the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office to ensure compliance with program requirements, assisting with yearly selection and interview process of new fellow applicants, maintenance of active files for each fellow with regards to documentation of educational requirements, and assisting in implementation of regular performance evaluations of program, staff and fellows.
Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Associate's degree OR Completion of Two (2) years of Bachelor's degree program.
2. One (1) year of administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Three (3) years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Assists Program Directors with the day-to-day workings of the fellowship programs, including the ACGME (Accreditation of Graduate Medical Education) and ABP regulations and paperwork to ensure RRC accreditation, fulfillment of recruitment processes and all daily operational functions of the training program.
2. Responsible for day-to-day Fellowship Program administrative functions including completion of training verification forms, vacation/sick leave, fellowship credentialing, licensure and In-Training Exams, and processing new/continuing forms.
3. Coordinates the fellowship recruitment process through ERAS.
4. Maintains accurate files and documentation regarding fellows, program activities and evaluations using the New Innovations education program management system.
5. Plans, develop, and coordinate orientation program for incoming and continuing fellows.
6. Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group's achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment.
7. Administers both the departure of fellows completing training and arrival of fellows beginning training, according to ACGME guidelines.
Physical Requirements: 1. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, and operating office equipment.
2. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information.
3. Ability to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
4. Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate computer keyboard.
