Summary: The Radiology Technologist is Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiological examinations, for setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices, and for maintaining related records. Performs standardized radiological examinations involving proper positioning of patient, techniques, and operation of equipment. Reports directly to the Team Leader of General Diagnostic Radiology or Lead Technical Specialist. Work is typically performed in a tertiary care center on both house patients and clinic patients Job Duties: Responsible for taking quality radiographs and working with the radiologist and other radiological technologists in assisting with fluoroscopy procedures. Position requires technologists to handle any clerical work needed in the radiology department (e.g. scheduling; distributing reports; answering phones). Position requires standby and after hours/weekend/holiday callback, and technologists must be able to respond to the facility in less than thirty (30) minutes. Ability to make contact in a calm, professional manner with people who may be under physical and emotional stress. Required Education: High school graduation and an AS degree in radiological technology Current BLS, ACLS CPR Certification is required. Experience: Must hold and maintain ARRT certificate. Must hold and maintain a Current valid state License in Radiology Technology (CRT). Must have a good working knowledge of Radiology. Fluoroscopy permit may be required. Basic understanding of Angio. Must have at least 1 year of Cath Lab Rad Tech exp
