Description
We're searching for a full-time Rebar Detailer/Project Manager. This role plays a critical role in overseeing and managing a team of project coordinators to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, and highly accurate rebar detailing projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project details are meticulously managed, customer communication is prompt and professional, and that our production goals are consistently met.
Responsibilities
•Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring all customer needs are met.
•Project Oversight: Review all project drawings, emails, and related documentation. Ensure that all gaps in project details are addressed and follow up as necessary.
•Team Management: Lead daily meetings with project coordinators to review ongoing projects, assign tasks, and resolve issues. Train and develop coordinators to meet company standards.
•Quality Control: Collaborate with the administrative team to assign the correct detailer to each job. Ensure that each aspect of every job meets or exceeds Bayou City Steel's quality standards.
•Production Goals: Manage a team of coordinators, and detailers responsible for producing 3,000 tons per month. Ensure that production goals are met or exceeded.
•Strategic Planning: Meet weekly with the executive team and the Regional Account Managers to discuss current projects, detailing capacity, and coordinator performance.
•Receive feedback from construction team members and clients and revise designs accordingly
•Communicate progress to superintendents and project managers, so they know when designs are finished
•Go to the initial client meetings to get details to understand the scope and specifications of the project
Qualifications
•At least 3 years of experience in rebar detailing.
•Proven experience in project management, preferably in the steel fabrication or construction industry.
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
•Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
•Familiarity with project management systems, and other relevant rebar software (aSa, MicroStation, RebarCAD, etc.)
•Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
•2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
