Receptionist -Part Time

Position Summary: The receptionist is the primary contact person with the public, answering the telephones and greeting those who enter our complex. Courtesy, reliability, and congeniality are the most important aspects that this person needs to display. The position also provides some administrative support to the social service department.


Essential Responsibilities: Greet visitors who come into the building and direct them to the appropriate person or place. Monitor the foyer and reception area and make sure clients are not loitering or wandering the building. Answer all incoming phone calls and direct the calls to the correct person. Make appointments for clients to see other staff members as needed. Receive, sort, and distribute mail/packages according to Salvation Army policy. Send outgoing mail with the mail carrier. Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, supervisors, volunteers and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education/Experience: High School Diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities One year of receptionist experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Maintain strict confidentiality. Computer Skills: Working knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint Certificates and Licenses: Complete Safe from Harm training, and keep current as needed
