Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: OR license required or submission with license pending Certifications: NRP, BLS Must-Have: EPIC Charting Experience Job Description: - The nurse will float between units as necessary.- On-call duty is required, with a low census call system in place.- Weekend shifts are required; at least every other weekend.- Expected nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 postpartum, 1:1 labor.- Locals accepted with reduced compensation.- Orientation includes 40 hours, non-billable.- Modules, averaging 16 non-billable hours, must be completed pre-start and annually. Completion is self-reported.- Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby. Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.- Communication devices needed for performing duties will be supplied if required.- Must commit to working three out of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).- The position is located within a Short Term Acute Care/Level IV Trauma Center with a total of 60 staffed beds.- Scrub color and attire: any color for nurses; CNAs and MLTs can wear any color or business casual.
