***** Norman Regional Health Systems Intermediate Care (IMC) staff cares for a wide variety of patients with complex medical conditions requiring intermediate or critical care. NRHS is an accredited primary stroke center and the Intermediate Care is our dedicated stroke unit for the health system. Our team is award winning (Womens Choice award and American Heart Association/Get with the Guidelines award) and works in collaboration with other departments and our stroke coordinator to provide this award winning care. IMC nurses are critical thinkers and highly skilled to rapidly assess a patients condition and intervene with immediate attention. Common medication drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. We utilize our Norman Regionals core values of Integrity, Communication, Attitude, Results, and Engagement to not only provide excellent care to our patients and their families, but to maintain a culture of respect and safety while promoting teamwork as healthcare professionals.
