As a research analyst at DCI, you will work directly with Adam J. Fein, Ph. D., and the DCI team to conduct original research on U.S. pharmaceutical industry commercial aspects. You will work on a variety of components of DCI's business. Responsibilities Contribute to research, writing, and deliverable production Collaborate in the creation of DCI reports and other publications Assist in the development and production of timely and impactful analyses on pharmaceutical economics and the drug distribution system Conduct secondary research and analyze data to create novel healthcare and pharmaceutical market insights Keep up to date with the latest news, industry trends, and policy changes in the pharmaceutical industry landscape Maintain and update internal datasets Serve as the lead in conducting rigorous literature reviews of economic evidence. Work closely with internal team and external stakeholders to ensure high quality of deliverables. Qualifications Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint Experience conducting academic and business research Academic training in economics or a related field Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills Experience in conducting market and competitive analysis Curiosity and passion to learn Strong collaboration skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Superior writing and communication skills Familiarity with commercial aspects of the U.S. pharmaceutical industry, e.g., health plans, third-party payment, market access, PBMs, wholesalers, pharmacies, reimbursement, etc. Prior experience in market access and life sciences consulting is preferred. Strong entrepreneurial drive Ability to work independently Flexibility to travel as required 2+ years of experience in consulting or business research, with ample experience in hands-on conducting and leading systematic literature reviews Experience in working in a team Excellent time management, project management, and communication skills A proactive approach to work, problem-solving aptitude, and flexibility to learn and adapt Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development process
