This position may be required to work nights, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
Why does the job exist?
The position will provide Respiratory Therapy to inpatients and outpatients at Miners' Colfax Medical Center to include evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders while practicing under the direction of a physician.
How does it get done?
This position will monitor blood gas values, will perform EKGs, and pulmonary function testing.
Who are the customers?
The staff, patients, coal miners, and community.
Ideal Candidate
Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a medical setting.
Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) School, State Licensure and standing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Employment Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check and possess a valid drivers license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of standing, walking, bending, must be able to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs, may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays and shift work, maybe required to work between two facilities.
