A seasoned Floor Lead is wanted immediately for The Spice & Tea Exchange®, a specialty retail shop that sells spices, herbs, teas, spice blends, and related products. Our Floor Leads are responsible for cultivating and maintaining thorough understanding, and complying with all The Spice & Tea Exchange® operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation and management of the store. Responsibilities Comply with all The Spice & Tea Exchange® operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation and management of the storeAssist Store Managers with work and job results by coaching, counseling, and developing tea'm members; planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsTrack and implement floor strategies based off of key performance indicators, and uplift tea'm members in meeting sales goalsMonitor and respond to the generic store email account on a daily basis in the absence of the Store or Assistant ManagersCommunicate any necessary new information to the Store Manager and remaining staffSticker merchandise with labels, SKU's, prices, and locations and assist in the creation of labels and maintain adequate levels of backup labelsBlend and package products as necessary and where applicableAssist in the recording of inventory registrations, write-offs, and invoices in the back end of the POSStock shelves, containers, counters, and tables with merchandise, assist with monthly, quarterly, or annual physical inventory, and maintain inventories to ensure product availabilityEstablish and maintain rapport with guests to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertisingUphold and promote The Spice & Tea Exchange® brand at all times while in uniformAssure that deposits are made on a daily basis for each day of business in absence of the Store ManagerSecure merchandise by implementing security systems and measuresBalance and reconcile register daily at the open and close of businessContribute and maintain a cohesive store team unit by actively contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed Requirements High School Diploma/GED1-3 years of retail management experienceComputer skills (google office, POS/Inventory systems)Availability on week days and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
