What You'll Work On Claims Management: manage the entire workers compensation claims process, overseeing TPA responsibilities to ensure claim validity, determining the extent of liability and necessary actions. Coordinating with stakeholders to manage claims effectively as well as adhering and review of reserving practices in SSI compliance. Client and Employee Support: serve as the primary contact for clients, providing guidance and support to both companies and employees throughout the claims process, facilitating communication, return to work programs, and coordinating with HR departments and others as needed. Compliance and Legal: ensure compliance with federal and state workers compensation laws, remain updated on regulatory changes, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all claims are handled in accordance with jurisdictional requirements. Cost Management: Coordinate with workers compensation risk analyst to analyze claims data, coordinate with TPA's for settlements, and work with our risk team and clients to develop cost-savings strategies and best practices for managing workers compensation claims. Team Leadership: train our claims staff, contribute to team meetings, and foster a collaborative team environment to ensure high performance and adherence to policies and procedures. Process Improvement: identify opportunities to improve the claims management process and implement new processes and procedures to enhance service delivery to clients. As a Risk Claims Manager, you're a dedicated professional with: A strong foundation in Business Administration, Risk Management, Human Resources, or a related field. A preferred professional certification in workers' compensation or claims management. At least 5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims management, ideally within a PEO or similar environment. A deep understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. A customer-focused approach with a talent for building and maintaining strong client relationships.
