Overview: Governor's Glen, a specialized memory care and assisted living facility located in Forest Park, GA, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to the highest standards of care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Resident Care: Deliver direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing treatment plans. Provide both routine and emergency care as needed. Assessment & Documentation: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health conditions and document changes in their status. Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided. Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans. Adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments and resident needs. Coordination: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including caregivers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication among the care team. Family Interaction: Provide support and education to residents' families regarding care plans, health conditions, and any changes in the residents' status. Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to nursing and healthcare services. Ensure that care is provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, ensuring residents receive immediate and appropriate care. Qualifications: Licensure: Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia. Certification in CPR and First Aid may be required. Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. An Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) for RNs; a diploma or Associates Degree for LPNs. Experience: Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, or memory care is preferred but not required. Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide compassionate care are essential. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
