Rn, Per Diem - Ptu/Pacu - Santa Monica

Description The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe and provides care to these patients via the nursing process and other input from healthcare team members; completes assessment and admission of patients requiring surgical procedures or treatments including appropriate consents. Provides Phase I, Phase II and Extend Care assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients from admission to discharge. Responsible for coordination of patient care, bed control, facilitates and supports the Director and the Assistant Director, Clinical Educator, AN 1s' and Charge Nurses in the provision of efficient patient flow, problem solving, and intervention as indicated. The staff RN adheres to all aspects of management and leadership as described in Clinical Nurse II Role description. The staff RN participates in committees dealing with topics concerning management of patient care and as well, as participates in promoting professional growth and development of personnel. Reports employee performance and staff morale issues to the Assistant Director and participates in employee evaluation.
Hourly Rate: $87.47
Qualifications We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
Current valid California RN license required
BSN or MSN, required
2 years experience in Critical Care or similar environment required
BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
ACLS from American Heart Association required
PALS from American Heart Association required
Pediatric experience preferred
CCRN, CAPA, or CPAN preferred
Knowledge of ASPAN standards preferred
Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
