We are looking for a driven and passionate Highway/Roadway Engineer with experience to support our growing transportation team in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. You will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your transportation design expertise (roadway, drainage, and sitework layout, preliminary and final design, utility/coordination and client coordination) to serve as a lead engineer and task manager on transportation related projects.
You'll be part of diverse multi-discipline teams in the delivery of transportation planning and design, and highway design projects. Your experience will give you the ability to lead tasks and/or projects and interface directly with our clients. • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• DOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) project experience
• Demonstrated experience on various types of roadway design projects including design and plan development of new and rehabilitation highway projects
• Proficiency with MicroStation and Open Roads Designer and a variety of transportation engineering analysis and design software
• Understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO design guidelines to transportation projects.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, time management skills
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
Ideally, here's what you'll also have:
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Michigan (or ability to attain license within 6 months)
• An emphasis on transportation projects with prior DOT experience in Michigan, Indiana, and/or Ohio
• Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
