Overview
The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy and empowered individual who will proactively provide constant support to the Housekeeping team.
Responsibilities Greet customers, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information. Clean and service guest rooms, including but not limited to: Changing bed linen and making beds Sweeping and mopping floors Vacuum carpets and rugs Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays Transport dirty linen Dust and polish surfaces and furniture Replenish bathroom supplies Ensure mini bar standards are upheld Report any technical issues and maintenance needs. Return and restocking cleaning cart at shift end. Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times Any other duties as assigned Skills Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised. Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary. Qualifications 1 year experience working in a housekeeping environment Experience in a hotel is a plus. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations. Reliable and have a sense of urgency. Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
The Pay rate for this position is $29.40 to $37.87 per hour subject to IWA increases.
