This position may be required to work nights, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
Why does the job exist?
To provide nursing assistance to patients in the Rural Health Clinic.
How does it get done?
The purpose of this position is to provide direct personal care and related support to clinic patients while maintaining quality care services. This position ensures adherence to Miners' Colfax Medical Center and all other Regulation and Licensing policies and procedures.
Who are the customers?
The staff, patients, and community.
Ideal Candidate
Experience as a nurse aide and knowledge of general medical terminology.
Knowledge of patient services
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Employment Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check and possess a valid drivers license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
