RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-log samples from the start of the day, pickups from client sampling, and walk-ins Unpack shipments and document receipt of samples. Organize samples and record them temporarily on arrival. Enter client data into LIMS. Recording client number, requested turn-around time, and payment information. When available use the project for logging in client ID/Site, date/time collected, sample type, sample matrix, code for sampler, and logging test used to test groups Sample Bottle numbering and bottle refrigeration Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping Handle interactions with walk-in clients QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associated degree in science or an equivalent 2 years of environment laboratory experience preferred, but not required. Experience in a fast-paced work lab environment is preferred. Job Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
