Position available immediately. Qualifications: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). Job Goal: To maintain and/or improve the students' and school employees' health status, thereby enabling them to fully benefit from the educational experiences. Performance Responsibilities: Assist students with medical conditions. Assist in the screening programs mandated by Indiana Law. Maintain comprehensive, up to date health records for each student. Give first-aid care for injuries and refer more serious injuries to appropriate person, e.g. school nurse, principal, parent, physician, dentist. Provide care for minor illness. Make referrals as needed to other health professionals. Administer student prescribed medications. Responsible to: Coordinator of Student Health Services Principal Superintendent Physical Effort and Work Environments: Services are generally provided to students in the School City of Hobart. Some physical exertion is necessary to transport materials from one workplace to another. Regular attendance is required for this position. Must have own transportation.
