Seasonal employment: Work stability and great hours for a morning person! Get off early before the 9-5ers. Avoid rush hours.
40hrs/week 6:30am-3pm 9 months per year (Typically April-Dec) Rate increase anticipated May 1 Benefits: Competitive pay IMRF Pension 40 hours PTO Earn comp time Examples of Duties Day in the life: Grounds and facility maintenance for athletic fields, beaches, parks, playground equipment and more. The work varies from day to day. Work on Assist Parks & Recreation events Work on ball diamonds, soccer fields and more We train: Bring your interest, we train theuse of small landscape equipment like mowers, trimmers and various hand tools. Not to forget you get to work with the best of the best equipment!
Qualifications18 years old Valid driver's license Sound physical condition in order to perform heavy manual work in all types of weather and operate a variety of mechanical equipment Supplemental Information

In their first year of employment, seasonal employees will receive one (1) paid time off work shift after three (3) months and a second paid time off shift after 6 months of employment. Seasonal employees shall receive a total of two (2) paid time off work shifts when they return for subsequent seasons.
Those working 1,000 hours or more during a calendar year are also enrolled in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension program, contributing 4.5% of salary into the program.
