This role is 3-4 days onsite with potential flexibility for 1-2 days from home after training.

The ideal candidate will have the chance to advance, potentially stepping into the Controller role when the current Controller retires in approximately seven years.
Responsibilities:
•Support the Financial Controller in day-to-day operations.
•Lead month end, quarterly, and year end close processes.
•Perform bank reconciliations, audit preparation, cash updates, and manage fixed assets and inventory.
•Handle WIP (work in process) construction entries, sales tax exposure, and refine internal controls, processes, and company policies.
•Process weekly payroll and accounts payable.
•Collaborate on team projects and work closely with IT departments.
Desired Experience/Education
•Preference for 3 plus years in accounting with 12 years of auditing experience, preferably with construction clients.
•BS in Accounting required.
•Experience in construction, service, distribution, ecommerce, or manufacturing is a plus.
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems such as Acumatica, APIs, ADP and /or Avalara
•Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
•Experience with union audits, certified payroll reports, or government contracts is a plus.
