Position Details: Grainger's inventory planning team manages over 10 million SKU's and $2 billion in inventory across 500 DC's and branches in North America. We're hiring a Senior Analyst, Inventory Optimization and Advanced Analytics to help us make better decisions across the branch network and broader supply chain. These analytics-based decisions decide where, when and how much inventory is placed to keep customers happy. Below are a few sample projects you could work on: Build a model to predict the impact of same day service on sales. Forecast demand of newly stocked items in the branch network. We don't expect you to have experience in tackling all the above problems. Having an interest in these problems, and experience in some of them is a great start. You will report to a Manager, Inventory Optimization and this role is a remote based position. Some travel will be required. The salary range for this position is $85,300 to $142,200. This range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include and not limited to: Candidate experience, qualification, geographical area and internal equity of the team. This position will be posted from September 16, 2024 until October 16, 2024. You Will: Obtain, manipulate, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources (Snowflake, S3) Work with data using R, Python, Julia, or Gurobi Deploy models and solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Apache Airflow Build & validate advanced analytical and statistical models, using forecasting, optimization, and simulation e.g. linear programming, integer programming etc. Leverage analytics tools to identify problems, and implement solutions Quantify business impacts and communicate actionable recommendations with business partners to drive informed decisions and develop strategies.
