As our new Senior Air Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary New England team. You will work with all levels of expertise from junior-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks. The duties of the position include:
Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sourcesConducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersionPerforming statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality dataAnalyzing pollution control measuresConducting air monitoring and indoor air quality analysisPreparing air quality permit applications and environmental impact reportsCritically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulationsMaintaining client relationships and managing the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner.Serving as the technical lead overseeing Consultant-level staff on complex projectsProvide mentoring to junior staffYour starting point for constant growth

BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related).Strong mathematical/computational skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience is requiredEffective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports;Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processingStrong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skillsDemonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situationsProgramming, database and GIS skills are preferred but not requiredAbility to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervisionEIT or P.E. certifications a plusCan work independently as well as in a team settingDesire to learn and grow in the environmental consulting fieldCandidates must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver's license.
