Hi, I'm Billy, Sr. Director of Channel Sales at Customer.io. We are looking for a high-energy individual to join our partnerships team as a Strategic Channel Account Manager working with our highest priority partners on the East Coast of North America. You will be the face of Customer.io, working with existing partners, acquiring new ones, and attending industry events to source and close new prospects. You will be responsible for:
Generating partner-sourced opportunities and managing end-to-end sales cyclesHolding a closed revenue quota from partner-sourced opportunitiesEnabling partners to lead sales cycles for Customer.ioSupporting partners to level up in our Partner ProgramProviding as much value as possible to our partners through revenue share, co-selling, referrals, and marketing.If you've been a top performer in sales or partnerships and are looking to join our growing team, then this is an excellent role for you!
Some things you'll do:Drive new revenue through our existing and new agency partners and maintain a closed revenue quotaManage full sales cycles, including exploratory calls and demos with partnersBuild your pipeline by sourcing new opportunities from partnersCreate mutual accountability plans (i.e. partner sales targets) with external stakeholders and drive urgency to deliver resultsDeliver product and sales training to channel partners to ensure they are equipped to effectively sell and promote Customer.io products and servicesEnable partners to know how to position Customer.io above competitorsManage relationships with existing and new partnersAttend industry conferences, masterminds, and networking events to prospect new clientsQuarterly in-person meetings with your top partnersEngage with hundreds of client-facing team members from your partners through email, lunch and learn, and in-person meetingsDevelop our partner program, processes, and documents to enable our partners to become ambassadors of the Customer.io platformBecome a Customer Marketing ExpertCompetencies / QualificationsLocated on the East Coast of North America, preferably (i.e. Toronto, NYC, Boston, Miami, Austin, or surrounding areas)2+ years experience in an Account Executive or sales-focused partnership roleUp to 20% of travel within your designated regionYou have experience running full sales cycles and working with partnersConsultative selling experience and understanding of Sandler Sales & MEDDIC Sales qualification processesYou've been a top performer at your previous roles and held sales targetsYou've managed partner, customer, or prospect relationships on an ongoing basis and not just transactionalOur mission at Customer.io is to power automated communication that people like to receive. Unlike typical marketing platforms, Customer.io helps businesses increase relevance by using behavioral data: what people do or don't do when logged in to a web or mobile app.
We are offering a starting salary of $119,000 base + $51,000 variable = $170,000 USD OTE (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.
