The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing legal support for the company's global contracts and commercial affairs, with a key role in the development, management, and enhancement of contract administration procedures. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including drafting, negotiating, and interpreting various commercial agreements, and offering legal and business advice on a multitude of operational matters. The Senior Corporate Counsel will also be involved in supporting the company's international operations, identifying and mitigating business and legal risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a Law degree (JD or equivalent) and be licensed to practice in the state of California or registered as In-House Counsel. A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in-house with a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech company, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law, be familiar with a range of legal frameworks including the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and FDA regulations, and possess a working understanding of international, federal, and state rules applicable to medical device companies. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a high level of integrity are also essential for this role.
