In this position, you'll lead and deliver Jacobs services in corrosion control studies, designs, construction support, and condition assessments of water, wastewater, treatment, storage, and conveyance projects in our West Central region.Jacobs is ranked #1 in the world by ENR for water/wastewater treatment and conveyance design. We develop and deliver engineering solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects and seek an individual with the knowledge, experience, and commitment to integrate corrosion control in our services. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to mainstream projects as well as help solve unique and challenging engineering problems for our clients. Working independently and in coordination with a national corrosion control team, you'll apply your knowledge and develop your expertise.While delivering Jacobs' corrosion control projects, you'll have the opportunity to specialize and focus on becoming a true SME in the technologies that align with your interests.Know that:You can take your career wherever you want it to go within the corrosion fieldYou will have the time to focus with clients and project teams on the technical issues, and not worry about general project manager duties.You will be supported in your continued education via obtaining NACE/AMPP certifications and attending conferences.You will have the opportunity to build a team around yourself to support client needsAs a Senior Corrosion Control Engineer at Jacobs, you'll use your skills and experience in cathodic protection, protective coatings and linings, materials selection, and condition assessments to support our projects. You will analyze the corrosivity of the environment, perform field tests and surveys, develop alternatives for corrosion control within established design criteria, design the preferred corrosion control systems, specify materials and coatings, and support construction. You will also support business development by meeting with clients and contributing to project proposals.Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.Here's what you'll need:Bachelors or Masters in appropriate engineering field.At least 15 years of corrosion control experience.NACE/AMPP Certifications appropriate to your specialty and level of experience.Professional Engineering license.NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP-4) Certification preferred. May also consider strong NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP-3) level certification moving toward the CP-4 Certification in the near future.Ideally, You'll Have Work Experience in Multiple Areas of Corrosion Control Technology:Cathodic protection system planning, design, operation, and analysisProtective coatings and linings specification, inspection, and evaluationMaterials selection including corrosion-resistant metals, thermal plastics, and elastomersBuried pipeline corrosion control and condition assessmentWater and wastewater treatment plant corrosion controlStorage tank corrosion controlCondition assessment of facilities affected by corrosionFamiliarity with inline inspection and integrity management techniquesAt Jacobs, we're partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.
