The successful candidate will be a key member of the Go-to-Market (GTM) Legal team, providing essential commercial support to the sales organization, particularly in the strategic accounts sector. This role involves guiding complex transactions, from review to negotiation and execution and requires a leader with a collaborative approach, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously. The Senior Counsel will also partner with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional sales enablement and deal acceleration in the ever-evolving, fast-paced environment.
Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of transactional commercial legal experience, with a focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and SaaS sales agreements. The role demands a deep understanding of SaaS business models, commercial negotiation best practices, and experience with global enterprise and strategic customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of motivating and influencing stakeholders, be adept at managing workloads in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong desire to learn the business. A legal background that includes a working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA/CPRA in the context of commercial contracts is essential. The Senior Counsel, Sales will also be responsible for staying abreast of legal developments and industry trends, and for delivering training and education to the sales and customer success organizations.
