The successful candidate will be responsible for the full cycle of contract management, including drafting, negotiation, and execution, to ensure the best outcomes for the company and to effectively mitigate risks. This role involves close collaboration with sourcing teams, business customers, and stakeholders to document and negotiate all aspects of procurement deals. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to maintain a deep understanding of contract terms and conditions, identify and mitigate potential risks, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Applicants must have a J.D. and a Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in contract negotiations. A strong background in a variety of contract types and a solid understanding of contracting standards and best practices are essential. The role requires the ability to work with a broad range of commodities and a specific preference for those with knowledge of contracting practices in financial services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to articulate legal risk, strong communication, collaboration, and partnering skills, and the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks within time constraints. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to support process improvement initiatives and develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
