An emerging biotech company in Massachusetts is looking to an experienced IT professional to their team as their new Senior Director of IT. In this role, the Senior Director of IT will have broad responsibility for IT strategy, planning, end user services, infrastructure (with a cloud-first mentality), cyber security, and business applications.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Director of IT will:
Develop, manage, and evolve IT strategy Assess and develop a 5 year IT roadmap for the enterprise, including all application and infrastructure supporting the growth of the business Oversee annual IT budgeting and quarterly forecasting through portfolio prioritization, sourcing planning, financial planning, technical strategies and roadmap development Oversee IT supplier selection, sourcing and vendor management Manage vendor relationships, vendor/platform technology selection and overall supplier performance (KPIs) & reporting Serve as a business partner to the CFO and the executive team on all matters related to IT and provide advice and input to drive forward the Corporate Strategy Provide leadership, mentorship and coaching to direct reports that fosters an environment of problem solving and improved IT practices and attracts and retains IT talent Ensure deployment readiness through development of business continuity plans and performance of external system audits Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in the Biotech and/or Pharma industry Bachelor's Degree Experience managing IT in a regulated environment (e.g. SOX, GxP, GDPR, etc.) Solid experience negotiating IT Based contracts, including licensing, terms, key performance indicators, etc. Experience configuring and managing IT Based solutions including but not limited to Azure, Microsoft O365, Intune/Autopilot, Teams/SharePoint, Egnyte, KnowBe4 and PowerBI Experience administering and managing business-based solutions, including but not limited to Concur, Sage (Intacct Financials), Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM Broad experience with applications initiatives, including; ERP upgrades, implementation, and solution delivery Desired Skills: 3+ years of experience in a Senior IT role at a Biotech company Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
