Senior Finance And Tax Accountant

Description Our client, a Cutting-Edge multi-dimensional Real Estate Firm, is adding a
Senior Tax & Finance Accountant to their team.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Tax compliance, extensions, estimates and tax returns Coordinating with internal accounting teams and external tax advisors Calculating tax gain on sales of assets; requirements for Section 1031 like-kind exchanges Monthly and quarterly NY Sales tax returns. Monitor multi-year tax projections for REITS Dividend coverage for taxable income distribution requirements Quarterly and annual REIT compliance tests Calculate quarterly tax accrual entries for REIT and TRS entities Addressing tax notices from all jurisdictions Periodically review sub-lease agreements between Taxable REIT Subsidiaries Manage and coordinate tax audits of income tax, sales & use tax, franchise tax, etc. Calculate periodic taxable income estimates for various JV partners Prepare W-9s, POAs and other simple tax forms for requesting vendors Assist with Special Finance Projects Requirements
3+ years of tax experience at large or regional CPA firm with real estate clients, or experience with a corporate real estate company. CPA and /or masters in tax preferred but not required.
