Job Summary The engineer ensures efficient, strategic use of core platforms, services, and technologies which provide foundational technical services to the business. This role provides analysis, development, and operational support of servers, storage, virtualization, and networking solutions, including defining, analyzing, creating, and supporting new services or solutions, modification and development of new functionality (either as enhancements or as green-field development within an infrastructure ecosystem), system integration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and operational oversight of assigned solutions and services, independently or in cooperation with other technology teams, to advance business objectives.
Essential Job Functions Design, deploy and manage Azure cloud environments to support our organization's applications and servicesImplement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protectionMonitor and optimize Azure infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost effectivenessIncrease operational efficiency via automation, day to day administrative task, and monthly maintenanceCollaborate with additional IT teams, such as Security, Development, IDAM, Network, MSP, DevOps, and contractorsConduct root cause analysis for service disruption and help implement preventive measuresCreate, enhance and maintain documentations for continuous improvementDevelop project sustainment mechanisms including reports, auditing capabilities, or changes that need to occur in other processes, systems, role definitions, etc.Reporting on a weekly or monthly basis (KPIs and Metrics) to maintain and enhance it's efficiency and reliability of the systemsCapability of prioritizing issues and collaborating with multiple teams to achieve swift resolutionFollow ITSM process and procedure for change management and incidence response by using Jira and IvantiParticipate in on-call rotation and provide support for production incidents and emergenciesResponsible for maintaining highest level of customer satisfaction across the company Required Skills Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with focus in Azure, including design, implementation, and management of Azure cloud environmentsStrong proficiency in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure SQL DB, App Services, AKS, Functions and StorageHands on experience with Azure networking concepts, including Virtual Networks, VPN and API Gateways, Express Route and Azure FWProficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform and etc.Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security CenterFamiliarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and Dockers Preferred Skills Experience or knowledge of other clouds platforms such as AWS and GCP is a plusFamiliarity with Ansible, Openshift, Kubernetes, and etc.Azure Certification such as AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-303/304 Minimum Qualifications College degree in Computer Science or related field and/or relevant industry certifications or equivalent experience7+ years of direct technical IT experience7+ years of strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously
