Aon is looking for a Senior Institutional Investment Consultant (Remote, open to anywhere in the U.S.)
Responsibilities: Expected to serve largely on public plan client and/or non-profit client teams (experience with either type of client is beneficial) Leads all aspects of client deliverables, interfacing with other teams in U.S. Investment Consulting Identifies and develops opportunities on client accounts, increasing the scope of existing projects and relationships Acts as senior support on U.S. Investment Consulting's largest clients; taking partial ownership for the relationships Is increasingly transitioning into lead consultant role on most clients Leads increasingly complex client relationships, providing proactive and creative support to clients. Applies good judgment and appropriate follow-through with firm employees, investment managers, trustees, and clients. Demonstrates initiative & ownership of client & research-related work. Manages and delivers loosely defined and complex practice/research area work and client projects Efficiently manages internal resources for effective handling of multiple client projects Viewed as subject area expert and/or adds to U.S. Investment Consulting thought leadership in public and/or non-profit arena Supports new business activities Demonstrates clear understanding and ability to articulate value proposition of all U.S. Investment Consulting services Functions collaboratively across Aon solution lines and various regional leadership teams Leads/manages/mentors junior colleagues in the firm Leads ad hoc projects for U.S. Investment Consulting senior / local leadership Qualifications: Excellent technical and analytical skills Accuracy and attention to detail 6+ years of experience in the Investment space, preferably with Institutional clients Expert level understanding of finance theory and investments Advanced writing and communication skills Clear and proven client relationship management skills Bachelor's degree in relevant area (e.g., business, finance, economics) Advanced degree and/or CFA and/or CAIA credential(s)) highly desired How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $102,000 to $230,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
