The Longwood Collective, Inc. is seeking a Senior Land Use and Sustainability Planner. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced planner to lead the district's energy, environment, and open space initiatives. The candidate would join a department of eight planners responsible for planning in Longwood's Medical and Academic Area and serving our 22 member institutions including several of the nation's top medical institutions, one of Boston's most revered museums, Harvard Medical School, Dental School and School of Public Health, the five Colleges of the Fenway, the largest Reform temple in New England, cutting-edge medical research organizations and a distinguished private high school.
Core ResponsibilitiesServing as Longwood's Subject Matter Expert in environment, energy and open space policies, plans, legislation, and more;Leading Open Space, Resiliency and Climate Planning;Providing leadership to Longwood institutions' sustainability initiatives;Representing Longwood Collective with local, city, state, regional agencies on planning, open space, climate change and resiliency policies;Conducting peer review of development projects;And more!Minimum five to seven years of experience and supervisory experience required.
