The opportunity Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Senior Manager, Medical Affairs – Publications (Temporary) to lead publication strategy and plan for Hepatitis D and for other assets in pipeline. You will work with partners to manage the publication plans, provide summary reports to partners, submission of manuscripts, abstract and meeting presentations. You will report to the Head of Medical Affairs.
This is an onsite position in our San Francisco headquarters.
What you'll do Lead operations for Medical Affairs – Publication and collaborate with colleagues in a matrix environment. Manage publication plans across HBV and other assets assigned. Maintain and follow Vir's standard operating procedures for publications. Collaborate with team members, alliance partners and external authors to implement medical publication activities. Route publication review and adjudicate comments. Submission of abstracts to a scientific congress. Track publications metrics and communicate publication updates to relevant partners to facilitate ongoing functional and regional planning. Who you are and what you bring Experience with publication guidance (including ICMJE, GPP3, Consort Guidelines, AMA Manual of Style, among others) and congress/journal requirements for publications. Five years of biopharmaceutical experience in publications. Advanced degree (Pharm D, Ph.D. or similar) in a scientific discipline. Master's or other degree considered with 5-10 years publications experience. Experience with Datavision or publication software. Summarize, interpret, present, and discuss complex medical and scientific data. Working knowledge of clinical trial design, biostatistics, and standard editorial style conventions. Research experience in immunology, infectious diseases, or a related field. Relevant professional certification/credential (e.g. CMPP, AMWA). Who we are and what we offer: The expected salary range for this position is $164,000.00 to $216,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
