Rodan + Fields® is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Packaging Design & Development. The position follows the management track for Packaging with a focus on team building and leadership skills. This manager will also help development of high quality, innovative packaging based on business objectives, as well as solving current needs including quality and shipping issues. The Sr. Manager, Packaging Design & Development will focus on development of new packaging to meet the needs of the commercial calendar. This includes strong cross functional participation and project management. This engineer will lead packaging development from inception from brand and creative to manufacturing and shipping. This position manage others.

The Sr. Manager, Packaging Design & Development reports to the Director of Product Development.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team including one engineer, a packaging designer and packaging PMO. Responsible for managing their tasks, expectations, goals, development, and output. Lead packaging development for new product launches. This includes engineering, development, testing, and shipping. Strong ability to give clear direction and manage/coach others. Seen as the functional expert and works closely with cross functional partners including Marketing, Creative, Product Development, QA, R&D and Operations to ensure success. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers including packaging suppliers, CM's and 3PL. Ensure that all package testing and validation happens according to protocol and specifications. This includes primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Improve and optimize the quality and performance of existing core products. Track packaging quality issues, determine root cause, implement CAPAs, track in-market response. Supports Supply Chain initiatives including CM transitions, cost savings and line trials. Competencies: Proven leadership qualities and packaging expertise. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, often changing environment. Ability to prioritize tasks based on business need Problem-solving, solution-driven self-starter Clear and concise written and oral communication skills Qualifications: Min 10 years of of package development experience with a BS in engineering Min 4 year of experience managing others Preferably expertise in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field Aptitude for leadership and management of others. Strong technical drawing review, evaluation and approval Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal and communications skills

Salary Range: $107,200 - $170,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, to geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Rodan + Fields' total compensation package for employees. Below is a list of benefit and compensation opportunities available for this position.
