Sr. Manager, Real Estate Counsel
$170,000 - $190,000 plus bonus

The Senior Manager, Real Estate Counsel position at a national real estate company involves preparing, drafting, and negotiating commercial leases, purchase agreements, and various legal documents. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, a law degree, and be admitted to practice law at a large law firm, specifically working on due diligence and acquisitions pertaining to large transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing, drafting, and negotiating commercial leases and ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, NDAs, amendments to reciprocal easement agreements, brokerage agreements, and reviewing LOIs.
Conducting due diligence and acquisitions pertaining to large transactions.
Researching and summarizing rights and obligations related to the above-described documents.
Reviewing and providing legal analysis of shopping center documents, including leases, operating agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, and other contracts.
Managing the flow of all such documentation from inception to execution and distribution.
Ensuring information in the Tracking Database is updated and accurate per standard procedures.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, including new development projects, leasing, due diligence, and acquisitions pertaining to large transactions.
Law degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law.
Must satisfy Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements to maintain an active license to practice law.
Experience in real estate transfer documentation and retail/commercial leasing required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
