At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all J&J buildings around the world providing end to end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management. The Senior Manager, Supplier Governance is accountable for enabling the delivery of contractual governance in region to ensure a consistent and standardized approach to the execution of our in-region/s supplier agreements. This role will support the delivery of a consistent standard of services for all employees globally and will own the relationship with our partners to drive service and performance improvement. A key responsibility of the role will be in defining the future supplier strategy for the short, medium and long term to create a nimble and proactive approach to supplier management.

This role is responsible for leading and supporting supplier management processes and outcomes across the region in the E&PS organization.

A suitable candidate for this role will have experience in the delivery of benchmark strategy and transparency through robust project management, commercial planning and proactive supplier relationship management for a global organization.

Key relationships include collaboration with regional Global Workstreams leadership to implement a change management approach to ensure our business needs and company strategy drive the relationship to the benefit of our customers, employees and J&J as well as our supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve performance of key suppliers, in terms of: contractual commitments, supplier risk, business need, service, quality, value, lead time, on-time delivery, reliability, efficiency, communication, continuous improvement, resolution of issues, EHS, confidentiality agreements, due diligence, etc.

Own relationships with key suppliers in their respective regions; set and deliver supplier strategy, policy, and standards. Ensure continuous alignment with Procurement supplier management model

Use appropriate critical metrics to measure performance, and drive improvements through robust analysis of issues and continuous improvement activities

Own the execution of J&J Supplier Governance model in region ensuring that governance meetings occur, and the processes are applied in accordance with the contract

Manage contractual changes and confidentiality agreements in relation to the E&PS Growth and Emerging Segment suppliers

Manage the Contract Change control and Issue Escalation & Resolution processes in region (including payment or contractual or operational disagreements that could impact the relationship with the Growth and Emerging Segment suppliers)

Support Procurement and Operations in managing the relationships with E&PS suppliers in their respective regions

Support J&J Global functions and Operational teams in managing Growth and Emerging Segment suppliers to ensure that they are compliant within J&J policies, procedures and guidelines

Support the operational teams and global functions (EHS&S, IT, Global Health, etc.) in maintaining and improving the performance of key suppliers, in terms of: contractual commitments and supplier risk, business need, service, quality, value, lead time, on-time delivery, reliability, efficiency, contract knowledge of the operational and support functions, communication, continuous improvement and innovation

Ensure that key supplier reports and metrics are delivered in line with the cadence per the specification in the regional contract

Qualifications Education: University / Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business or related field required. Experience and Skills: Required: Minimum of 8 – 10 years of related experience.

Strong experience in facility management, contract management, performance management and financial budget and control.

Strong business and finance competence, and relationship building skills with both internal partner and strategic partners.

Problem solving skill and drive effective solutions for Strategic partners and Internal stakeholders.

The ability to effectively partner and deliver results in a matrixed environment.

The ability to adapt emerging standard processes and industry innovations to facilities management.

Strong project management skills, proven organization, coordination and action tracking skills.

Ability to function effectively and multitask when presented with tight deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred: Familiarity within the facilities environment.

Experience building strategic relationships with internal and external project partners and partners.

Experience with strategic supplier / vendor management.

Experience negotiating and managing global / regional contracts.

Global experience

Experience managing complex workstreams, specifically across geographically dispersed teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills.

Knowledge of standard methodologies, policies, and procedures utilized by world-class supplier diversity programs.

Superior customer service skills across a variety of company levels.

Other: Proficiency (both verbal & written) in the English language is required.

This position will require both domestic and international travel, up to 30%.

Preferred Certifications include: Six sigma, National Contract Management Association (NCMA) - Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), and Institute for Supply Chain Management (ISM) - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550

The anticipated base pay range for this position is, in the Bay Area, is $136,000 to $234,140

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year Additional information can be found through the link below.
