Summary: We are seeking a Senior Process Optimization Engineer to independently oversee and drive the optimization of complex processes and troubleshoot operational challenges in manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital projects environments.
This role requires the application of advanced engineering principles to design, implement, and analyze major system modifications and projects.
The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional collaboration to meet project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities: Complete advanced assignments, developing new engineering techniques as necessary.
Establish engineering policies that affect multiple departments and supervise a small team on various projects.
Serve as a recognized technical specialist, applying broad engineering expertise to diverse assignments.
Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Collaborate with research, manufacturing, process development, and quality teams to define requirements for large-scale facility or system modifications.
Manage consultants and engineering firms, creating standardized design documents, and work with project managers to ensure projects meet timeline and budget goals.
Proficiency in problem-solving, applied engineering, and technical report writing.
Strong understanding of GMP/GLP standards and validation protocols.
Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and effectively lead and collaborate.
Competency in budget management, scheduling, contractor/vendor management, and project facilitation.
Requirements Qualifications: Education: Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Technical writing, process validation experience, and expertise in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical/biotech processes, validation protocols, and regulated documentation practices.
