FIGS is looking for a Senior Product Developer of Outerwear to play an integral role in developing and executing products to align with FIGS strategy. This position requires an out of the box thinker who can collaborate with cross functional teams, outside vendors, and across all levels of the organization. This person has a passion for product and extreme details. This position reports into the Director of Product Development.
What you'll do:
Category expert overseeing product development and timeline management for Outerwear Have clear understanding of design integrity and ability to translate technical concepts Lead POD meetings Serve as liaison between cross functional teams ensuring style revisions are accurately communicated throughout the product development cycle to all stakeholders Partner with Merch to ensure styles/colors are added/dropped in Centric Tracks to GTM timelines, holds partners accountable and communicates timeline conflicts/challenges Manage all lab dip requests in Centric in partnership with RMM & Color Manage day-to-day communication with factories Provide a clear understanding of factory partner capabilities & building capability library for internal reference. Build and facilitate Bill of Materials issuance and updates between design and overseas factories Expert in costing and have ability to suggest cost reduction engineering when necessary in order to meet IMU targets Anticipate and creatively solve any quality control concerns Partner with the Raw Material team to action lab and wear testing of new materials to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and standards Conduct quality testing with third party testing agencies Test all fabric/trim compatibility Track all garments from vendor to HQ from tailoring, proto, SMS, PP through TOP Ensure all styles handed off by calendar dates are represented in milestone meetings Track to commercialize garments in time for milestone meetings Attend all fittings with call outs on sub materials, IMU and prepared to offer guidance to meet on time and top quality execution Work closely with the Raw Materials & Color team to ensure fabrics/trims are approved for production and chase into pending lab dips to ensure on-time production delivery Responsible for ensuring all garments are fully buy ready by PO deadlines Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in a similar role Strong understanding of technical outerwear Deep knowledge in knits and an understanding of wovens and technical wovens Significant experience with product development and production process and lifecycle Ability to respond to vendors within 24 hours Excellent leadership and management skills Robust communication skills is a must Knowledgeable on apparel products Knowledge of fabric construction and finished garment Understands trim and materials In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes Deadline focused and goal driven Excellent excel and mathematical skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong negotiating skills and business acumen Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and knowledge of CAD a plus Ability to travel to factories Other must haves:

Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
